In the beginning, I was actually going to use Adobe Premier Pro or Davinci Resolve as my chosen software to edit. However, because I'm using the Macbook Air 2014 (which is 10 years old already), I was unable to download the software onto my laptop. Moreover, after watching tutorials on YouTube, I figured they were too complicated for me and I could use an alternative that is both lighter for my laptop and operates just as well. So I switched to CapCut PC.
However, one problem when working with CapCut PC is that its colour grading is terrible, and so I have to do an extra step of colour grading in Lightroom.
Since my 2 filming days were 1 week apart, it took me the whole week to colour-grade all of my footage and import them onto my laptop. The first rough cut was done in about a week.
Result: Rough Cut #1
This is what I've got after the first week of post-production. Although I feel like there is so much room for improvement, I can start to see where this is going. One thing I've realised is that sometimes the footage will come out differently than what we expected, so we have to watch more and focus more on the camera composition and editing of the movies we've taken for inspiration.
