LOCATION 1 - PHU QUOC
While developing my initial idea, I thought it would be a nice idea to locate the protagonist's hometown in Phu Quoc, since I have close relatives there and enough knowledge about the place to support my filming process. Phu Quoc Island, located off the southwestern coast of Vietnam, is a tropical paradise known for its stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and lush natural beauty. If things turn out well, these scenes are going to be the highlights of my film opening. The drawback of filming in Phu Quoc is that I have to travel there by plane, which could cost me and the fee varies based on the time of the year that I will travel. Moreover, I will also have to bring my actress there which could cost me even more, but I overcame this problem by making the actress me. Overall, as far as I'm concerned, filming in Phu Quoc will not be a big trouble for me and I will try to utilise the time I have on the beautiful island to achieve the best results.
LOCATION 2 - HOUSE
The second location that I'm going to film is my childhood home. In my opinion, one of the reasons I came up with this plot is because I want to connect my audience back to their childhood, even though they might not had a good one, I could create somewhat 'fake core memories' about a beautiful and carefree childhood for them. I do not have a real childhood home, but instead, I will buy props such as old carton boxes and borrow my friends' old personal items to set up my room as accurately as possible. The moodboard below is how I envision my 'childhood home' and I will set up my place according to the moodboard as well.
