Industry in Media

The media industry is the sector of the economy that is involved in the production, distribution, and consumption of media content. It includes a wide range of businesses such as:

Media ownership explains the way media is owned and controlled, which could be classified into three main categories:

- Public ownership: media that is owned and operated by the government, typically funded by taxes, and intended to serve the public interests

- Private ownership: media that is owned and operated by private individuals or corporations, typically funded by advertising or subscriptions, and intended to make a profit
